Ozfiji virtual memorials

Why create this section on memorials? Well, I have been working on this website www.ozfiji.com for some years now. It began as a hobby several years ago. The concept back then and as present, was that this website was to serve as a community resource. In the process I have met so many people. Many of them have had very interesting lives. Whilst there is the understandable sadness associated with someone’s passing, there occurs a great intellectual loss also, as stories, skills and knowledge evaporates into thin air. So, as our lives are relatively brief I thought it would be a good idea to create a tribute in cyberspace to loved ones who have passed on, within the Fiji community in Australia.

If our virtual memorial available on the web 24/7 can help soothe the grief and bring back happy memories, even for a moment, then our efforts would all have been worthwhile.
